The Antichristian Phenomenon
Ok, I finally got fed up with the uncustomizability of the previous theme and decided to change it to this one which is much, much more powerful and extendable.
There was a post in the forum about choosing the theme collectively but there were so few responses that I decided to take an executive decision and just get it over with. of course if someone else comes around with a better theme I won’t say no.
Unfortunately the only thing I had time to change were the colours and the widgets. You will notice on the right, other than classic widgets, some nice feeds from last.fm.
The blogroll has been updated as well, with the links of blogs of ACP contributors. Right now I’ve included only four but I’m planning to add people who start to post to the ACP regularly. The links (other than mine) don’t include any description. But the owners are welcome to give me what they want the description to be. On the other hand if you don’t want a link to your blog ask and ye shall receive.
I’m planning to update the theme to shorten the long winded index page before it gets a mile long and also need to replace the background pattern with something more relevant. If anyone can come up with a nice reverse-cross pattern ,perhaps similar to the sample here (original img by heavyraptor) it would be great.
I’m still not certain on the colour the site should keep. Red on black is just so common nowadays. I’d like to go for red on white similar to the logo Methis designed but I do not have the capability to do it myself (lacking gimp/photoshop skills and time).
Finally, I’m considering adding the second sidebar of the theme to the left of the site. This will allow for more info but will shorten the amount of space we have available for the main posts.
This should not be a big problem if you can read it standalone at normal size but I need to see how to code that.
In any case, I feel that the second sidebar will give us some space to put stuff like short information posts, dynamic stuff (like an asides part) and various things like that. For an example of what I am thinking of, see the sandbox. Then discuss in the forum. I’d love to hear your opinion.
