You thought Christvertising might be an unorthodox way to sell a product? Hmm... the best way to sell a product is to play on a groups belief. And Christians are much more susceptible to this version of advertising than any living human being that does not believe in their puss. I would practice Christvertising even though I am not a Christian... just to sell condoms that had a Jesus face on the end of my cock symbolizing the messiahs fall into darkness, and then the light, and then the darkness, and then the light... well... you get the picture. The only difference between non believers and Christians is, that non believers can tell when they are getting fucked.

FYI: I came across the Christvertising site through a friend, and thought it was too ridiculous to be true. It is. The Washington Post revealed it to be a joke created by Pool Worldwide (an advertising agency) just for fun. Of course, they *did* actually receive some requests from interested businesses... :)

I especially hate it when the author is either posting some controversial topic or a post asking for advice AND have comments disabled! If you are seeking advice AND disabled commenting, how the hell are you going to get your answers??

[WORDPRESS HASHCASH] The poster sent us '0 which is not a hashcash value.

I saw a very interesting philosophical argument based around the common responses about prayer. I don't remember the link to it in youtube, but I'll try and get it from my friend again, actually I think Anath may have it if I don't. Anyway, I've come across this as well when discussing prayer with Christians, they tell me the answers are "Yes, No, or wait". The problem with this response is this meets all possible criteria for your prayer either coming true or not. This mathematical revelation more than invalidates prayer. What the maker of Christvertising has done is he made a very convincing presentation that really makes the allusion that prayer MIGHT actually work. If the answer is "no" from God, it means your product more than likely sucks and the market place just doesn't want it. It has nothing to do with God's blessing or your faith in God, you just have a bad brand/product. Similarly if you you're a Christian and looking for Christian products why wouldn't you get brands endorsed by Christvertising? Wouldn't you prefer those over the general ones?

I'd also like to add that if you're part of this 1 million person network and you recieve a "new brand to pray for" letter from Christvertising, what are the chances you're going to go and look it up? If you're going to pray for something, most of these people will go and find out something about the product! In doing that research they might find something they like or don't like. I actually wonder what this guy's fee is for doing this.
