This is perhaps a perfect example of outright lies used to further a theological position.

From the article…

A CATHOLIC leader has claimed condoms are infected with HIV deliberately.

Maputo Archbishop Francisco Chimoio, the head of the Catholic Church in Mozambique, claimed some anti-retroviral drugs were also infected “in order to finish quickly the African people”. (more…)

We now have Muslim Creationist fundamentalists pushing their agenda, in a very dramatic way.

My biggest question is, where is the funding for this coming from? Clearly this guy isn’t funding it himself, and “donations” is quite vague. Is the money coming indirectly out of our own (or American) pockets? Is it a byproduct of black market trade, perhaps with our own countries? Personally, I’m more concerned with this than the bullshit message they’re attempting to propagate, since that message seems to be largely ignored by the scientific community they ship the books to, and so far the school systems treat the books like toxic chemicals (Keep Out of Reach of Children!). I know what kind of groups would love to fund a project like this (does this or this look about right? How about this guy?), and they don’t have very clean money.

Again, I am repulsed by the methods of “religious” types. I don’t even know what to say about this anymore.  I feel sick.

I’m guessing this might become a semi-regular series of post since there does not seem to be any shortage of articles that provoke me to write.

My latest “provocation” comes in the form of the reaction of Muslim extremists to the knighting of author Salman Rushdie.

“This is an occasion for the 1.5 billion Muslims to look at the seriousness of this decision,” Mohammed Ijaz ul-Haq, religious affairs minister, told the Pakistani parliament in Islamabad. “The west is accusing Muslims of extremism and terrorism. If someone exploded a bomb on his body he would be right to do so unless the British government apologises and withdraws the ‘sir’ title.”

I do not think the irony in the above sentence has been lost on anyone. It is like saying something akin to: “If you call me violent again I’m going to kick your ass“.

Setting that aside for the moment though, the biggest problem lies in the fact that these people are allowed to say these hate-filled inflammatory things. They are “allowed”, not in the sense that someone should silence them (as that would be a violation of freedom of speech), but in the sense that their fellow 1.5 billion Muslims do not raise their voices to condemn such a reaction. There is not a public Muslim outcry, nor do they speak up to distance themselves from these religious fanatics that would rather silence controversial speech than listen and improve.

But no, not only are the Muslims of the world not appalled by these statements but they grant their silent consent and give leeway to fanatics that will attempt to gain a priority ticket to jannah. The only objections that were raised on this? That he deserves judgment before being killed and that maybe the sentence only counts if he is in an Islamic country.

Unfortunately, it is in the name of “Respect” that people don’t judge this horrid religion as befits it. Just because there exists a minority of peaceful Muslims who cry wolf every time their precious beliefs are insulted.

And then they have the gall to go out in the street and burn the book!
I wonder how these people would take it a few thousand people gathered, burned Qur’ans and shat on the drawings of Mohammad?
They expect us to respect their ridiculous delusions, but for them that also entails allowing them to step on freedom of speech ( I remind that the book was banned on almost all Islamic countries while they also tried to ban it in the UK. See the Timeline of Hate here), trying to force whole nations from exercising their traditions, accept their seething hatred for a single man etc.

Dawkins indeed had the right of it. Who is hiding all those people that bombed Bookshops – for fuck’s sake, Bookshops! – but the same “peaceful” Muslims living in the first world countries? They leave their oppressive countries to come to us and then they try to make this society afraid in the same way they were.

For them, the Knighting of a person who has granted so much to literature is an attack on Islam! For them it can only be respect if we act according to sharia and nothing else. Why then should I “respect” the rights of them to wear the clothes their religion requires, when they are not appropriate? Why should I respect their wish to keep their own religious holidays or anything else they wish to claim? Why should we respect anything?

I say Fuck ‘Em! Fuck their Mohammad and fuck their imams and fuck their worthless, piece-of-shit, excuse for a holy book. If they want my respect, they’d better earn it for it does not come cheap and it certainly does not come under threat of violence. The more they force me to “respect” them (ergo, shut my mouth) the more I will spit in their eye, piss on their religious symbols and laugh at their ridiculous and horribly outdated traditions.

And that goes for all Monotheists as well.

Source: ça marche, les ripostes chrétiennes aux spectacles sataniques. Et les “politiques”?…

A friend of mine who lives in France brought this to my attention. The source is in French, but in my limited translation abilities, I’ll try to summarize it:

In the beginning of their article they brag about how they got a Marilyn Manson show canceled in the past, that was programmed in Marseilles.

It moves on by claiming how vile and evil all of this music is, and they keep bringing up the comparison to the Siege of Jericho. For those unfamiliar with Jericho, it was the one of the first victims in the ever-lasting war for global domination by the judeo-christians. In the bible it is described how the sound of their war horns was enough to crumble the walls of the city and kill every man, woman and child inside. Because we all know how proud it makes those of the Abrahamic religions, to be able to claim slaughtering innocent children. The bible’s full of parts like that anyway.

Either way, back to Hellfest. This year the second edition of the festival is celebrated in Clisson, just south of Nantes in France. I myself can’t go, it’s the same weekend as Graspop (This weekend in fact), and I always go to Graspop. The christians who wrote this article describe the festival as a gathering of metalheads and satanists. At least they’re correct on the metalhead part.

Their article ends with a rant against politicians who let this kind of thing happen.

I’m not sure if many people from France read this website yet. But please, if I get back from Graspop I want to hear in the news that the festival grounds of Hellfest were covered in christian blood this year. If they really want to rant against metal, they can do so inside their churches. You don’t see me going inside their churches to protest against the things they do. Why can’t they leave us alone, just as we leave them alone?

I hate quoting the “Satanic Bible” since I don’t consider myself a practicing satanist, or a satanist at all. However, there are some great truths in there. And I feel these christians should take note of those before they try to interrupt the festival.

When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there.
If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.

I am especially annoyed when people think they should “respect” a persons religious beliefs. I will not go into much depth because people like Richard Dawkins have already elaborated enough on this issue. However I recently saw another example that shows why doing that is so wrong.

Iran has passed a bill that invokes the death penalty for porn stars

Let me make this a bit more clear: People have taken it in their hands to murder other people for something that they did to themselves (In this case, the horrible crime is to have sex in front of a camera or be in any part an accomplish to it).

How is that for respect for you then? I wonder if there were more islamists in the first world, would they require we respect their right to kill porn producers because they “Corrupt the world”?

It is especially worrying that they will kill people with whom they do not agree in moral issues. They will kill people because living their life, without hurting anyone, is not the way that some guys, hundreads or thousands of years ago, heard some voices in their head say it should be.

No, I will not respect a religion who decrees such things. Do not even try to tell me that they are misguided and that is ” not what that religion of love is about”.

And I’m certain that the little fucks who pass these laws, don’t waste any time breaking them when no one is looking. Same way that the Brothel industry was booming in the Victorian age (yes, another great example of good solid Christian morality). In fascistic environments, like all monotheistic religion and theocratic nations are, the rules are only for the common people. Not for the rulers.

If you want respect for your religion of choice, I want to see you right now, on the fucking street, protesting against the things, people who claim to represent you are doing to the rest of us. If you want me to respect your “Religion of love”, you’d better be the biggest activist against all that and not sit at your home, ignoring it and let the rest do the dirty work.

If you want respect, I want you to be fighting ti preserve the rights your religion is trying to take away from everyone else.

News of a few days old, but you know, I hate blogging about the very latest news, since you never know if it’s completely correct until a few days passed and it cooled down a bit.

Vatican cardinal calls on Catholics to stop funding Amnesty

I’ll quote the article in case it goes down sometime … I hate losing good articles.

· Group ‘betrayed mission’ over new abortion policy
· Human rights organisation fears dip in donations

The Guardian

A senior Vatican cardinal said yesterday that Catholics should stop donating to human rights group Amnesty International because of its new policy advocating abortion rights for women if they had been raped, were a victim of incest or faced health risks.

Cardinal Renato Martino, president of the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, accused Amnesty of turning its back on its mission to defend human rights.

“The inevitable consequence of this decision, according to the cardinal, will be the suspension of any financing to Amnesty on the part of Catholic organisations and also individual Catholics,” said a statement from Cardinal Martino’s office yesterday.

“AI has betrayed its mission,” Cardinal Martino told the US National Catholic Register in an interview.

Amnesty changed its neutral stance on abortion in April, but its Italy chairman Paolo Pobbiati insisted its new position had been misinterpreted by the cardinal.

“This has nothing to do with legitimising abortion as part of a campaign for human rights, it is to do with combating violence against women,” he said.

“It was partly inspired by our experience in Africa where soldiers rape women in communities they attack to force them to have their children. We also believe women who have had abortions should benefit from medical care regardless of the reason for the abortion. Moreover we aim to promote education and contraception to reduce abortion rates.”

“AI does not take a position on whether abortion should be legal or whether it is right or wrong,” it added in a statement.

In his interview with the National Catholic Register, Cardinal Martino did not see any grey areas.

“The Church teaches that it is never justifiable to kill an innocent life. Abortion is murder,” he said. “To selectively justify abortion, even in the cases of rape, is to define the innocent child within the womb as an enemy, a ‘thing’ that must be destroyed. How can we say that killing a child in some cases is good and in other cases it is evil?”

In a statement released in Italy, Amnesty stated it did not receive funding from the Vatican or the Catholic church. Amnesty also declines support from governments and political parties. But Mr Pobbiati admitted that the fallout for funding could be serious if individual Catholics heeded Cardinal Martino’s advice.

“This could be a danger to donations and we are extremely upset about these statements,” he said.

Amnesty’s joint campaigning with Catholic organisations could also be complicated by the Vatican’s position, he said.

“We mount joint campaigns with organisations like Caritas and the Community of Sant’Egidio against the death penalty and child soldiers and in favour of arms control. We sincerely hope Catholics will not share Martino’s views on funding.”

A quick rhetorical question. Isn’t Amnesty International that organization which protects (among others) Christians from persecution for their beliefs, in countries like China?

It just goes to show once more: Christians don’t give a damn about the greater good, they don’t give a damn about making the world a better place. All they care about is their dogma and lies. The moment you disagree with them, it doesn’t matter how much good you do, because disagreeing with their dogma seems to already be a deadly sin.

This news is somewhat old, but I recently found out about it. The original story seems to have gone already from the KGet site it originated on, but at the moment it was newer, it has even been on the Daily Show apparently.

A tattooed couple brought their child to the doctor’s office because she was having an ear infection. He refused to treat the child, because the tattoos on the parents were against his religious beliefs.

The doctor said he is just following his beliefs, creating a Christian atmosphere for his patients.

Tasha Childress said it’s discrimination.

She said Dr. Gary Merrill wouldn’t treat her daughter for an ear infection because Tasha, the mother, has tattoos.

The writing is on the wall—literally: “This is a private office. Appearance and behavior standards apply.”

For Dr. Gary Merrill of Christian Medical Services, that means no tattoos, body piercings, and a host of other requirements—all standards Merrill has set based upon his Christian faith.

“She had to go that entire night with her ear infection with no medicine because he has his policy,” Tasha Childress said.

Merrill won’t speak on camera, but said based on his values and beliefs, he has standards that he expects in his office.

Quote’s source.

My two main problems with this are:

  • Where in the bible does it state doctors can’t treat tattooed people’s children?
  • Has this doctor never taken the Hippocratic Oath?

Then, lastly, if this doctor really is christian, why is he above the following bible verses?

  • Come to me, all you who suffer and are burdened and I will refresh you. Matthew 11:28
  • He that says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness still. 1 John 2:9
  • Do not judge that you may not be judged. For with what judgement you judge, you shall be judged. Matthew 7:1

I think this shows quite well why modern christianity as a religion is as screwed up as it can be. Seeing how he claims to be a good christian, yet refuses to follow the bible, I think I know why he doesn’t follow the Oath of Hippocrates as a doctor (a practice btw which would get his license revoked in Belgium, and I believe in most civilised countries). He probably got confused and swore the Oath of Hypocrit instead – like most so-called christians.
